Our Impact
Since its founding in 2021, the Robert N. Soper Foundation has worked towards its mission to support individuals seeking to pursue a trade-based career and organizations which help men become better fathers.
Since 2022, the Foundation has provided scholarship to promising graduates of Rob's alma mater, Ladue Horton Watkins High School, to support their pursuit of a trade-based education.
Fathers and Family Support Center’s gave the Foundation a shoutout in its January 2025 newsletter, expressing gratitude for the Foundation’s continued support for the FFSC’s Family Formation Program and highlighting the important work of the Foundation.
Since 2022, the Foundation has also provided backing for St. Louis's Fathers and Family Support Center ("FFSC"), an organization dedicated to providing comprehensive programs and services to help its clients become better parents to improve their children's futures. The Foundation’s donations to FFSC have been specifically earmarked for FFSC's core program, the Family Formation Program, through which enrolled fathers or mothers commit to a six-week, full-day, full-immersion, transformational program where program participants are taught a variety of parenting and life skills that result in better opportunities for themselves, and brighter futures for their children. As the Foundation’s partnership with FFSC strengthens, we continue to be impressed with FFSC’s mission and real-world impact it has on the community and the parents who participate in the Family Formation Program. We know Rob would have been passionate about about supporting FFSC, and we intend to continue our support for it. Learn more about the Fathers and Family Support Center here.
Testimonials
“This scholarship is such an honor. Ever since I was little, I have loved to work with my hands and build unique things. I always imagined growing up and becoming a designer. I didn't know much about trade school until my senior year, when I began a woodworking class and started looking into some of the cool options after high school graduation. This scholarship will cover my first semester at Ranken Technical College. I am so excited for this opportunity! Thank you!”

“During high school, I grew a passion for engineering and woodworking. I'm an aspiring mechanical engineer and plan to attend Missouri University of Science and Technology in the fall. This scholarship will go towards tuition and fueling my interests as a creator. Once I join design teams, my goal is to ease the process of engineering for students by making information more accessible. Learning from the mistakes of others is often easier than making those mistakes yourself.”

“Growing up, I found interest in a lot of hands-on activities. My high school didn't really tell me about tech school. But when I heard about trade school, I was like 'holy cow,' this is cool. That sounds exactly like what I was meant to do.
This scholarship is definitely a big play because I know people are supporting me, saying this a great avenue to go down. I'm planning on using the scholarship money to pay for books, a new laptop and a nice little tool bag so I can carry my tools around. It will also go a little bit towards tuition.”
